About Us

The Reclaimed Wood Council came about after several well-established manufacturers of reclaimed wood products began hearing of instances in which consumers and potential customers had endured unexpected experiences when receiving reclaimed wood products. While the these experiences occurred with a small, marginal faction of the industry, it spurred a dedicated group of manufacturers to form an organization that would safeguard the interests of consumers as well as manufacturers.

One of the Reclaimed Wood Council’s most important goals is providing consistent standards and education so consumers are assured of receiving a product that meets their needs.
